my own Icelandic elopement
Tom and I eloped in 2018 during our ten day trip to Iceland and it was, hands down, the best decision we could’ve made. It still makes me feel giddy when I think about it. I know first hand the sacrifices you make when you choose an elopement or a small, intimate wedding. But I also know how beautiful it is when you reap all the rewards of doing things your way. This is why elopements and intimate weddings have always been at the core of my business - at the core of what I believe in. Each inquiry I get makes me excited remembering exactly how it felt to finally decide on something just for us. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that any time we tell people we eloped, we’re always met with “that’s what I wish we would’ve done.” But, don’t take my word for it.

film
I picked up my dads old canon point and shoot a few years back and threw some 35mm film in there to capture life every day with my kids and fell in love with the outcome. Since then, I’ve really grown to love film and the journey to learn how to shoot film manually. In a world where we can have almost anything delivered to us within hours, the excitement and giddiness of waiting to see what we captured together while the film is being developed is, for me, one of lifes hidden joys. I shoot film because I enjoy it, not because social media has made it super trendy, and I believe that the depth it adds to your final gallery and the story we tell is really special.
So if you’re interested in adding film to your day, count me in. I also shoot polaroids and typically come with a few disposable cameras for your best friends because nobody can help tell the story of your day better than your closest family and friends!
